Common Features
Tripods (or Drones)
All the models have an external harness that can be used to secure a large tripod firmly. These allow the tripod to be attached at the centre of the backpack to ensure the weight is carried in a balanced manner. The Alta Sky also feature the ALTA LINK system which means that they can also be used with the Alta Action tripod bags for maximum protection for your tripod on the move.
Alternatively, the harness can be used to secure other kit, including a drone up to DJI Phantom 3 (on all models except Alta Sky 66). Other drones may fit externally or internally, but please check the dimensions.

Professional Levels of Kit
While the setup of each model is slightly different, whichever model you choose, you can get PRO levels of kit in these customisable backpacks. Your kit is then protected by advanced padding throughout the backpack to keep your valuable kit safe.

Carry in Comfort
All the models are designed to carry large loads in comfort, thanks to extra non-slip padding around the shoulders/back, adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable waist belt, adjustable chest strap (including moving the chest strap up/down to best fit your contours) and a wide air-flow system.

Model Key Differences
Alta Sky 49 and Alta Sky 53
These models are designed as traditional PRO camera backpacks for maximum camera kit (or drones). The kit can be accessed through the top of the backpack or through the rear.

Alta Sky 45D and Alta Sky 51D
These models are designed for maximum versatility with two compartments that allow a 70/30 split of gear (lower compartment shown). How you set it up is entirely down to you. Large camera kit – simply use both compartments for you gear. Heading away for a weekend and want to take a change of clothes – simply remove the inserts from the top/bottom compartment and you can carry your personal effects. You can also access your camera through quick side access, quick top access or through the back allowing you to customise it to your preference. It’s this versatility that enabled the Alta Sky 51D to win the Red Dot design award.
Alta Sky 66 and Alta Sky 68
The Alta Sky 66 is specifically designed to carry a super telephoto lens up to 600mm (f/4.0) and some 800mm (f/5.6) attached to a Pro DSLR, as well as an appropriate tripod. If you want to carry additional lenses so you don’t miss an opportunity in the field, check out the Alta Sky 68. These are great solutions to carry your large lens safely and in comfort.
